I’ve been published in Haverin, the latest anthology from the Glasgow SF Writers’ Circle, created to celebrate 40 years of the circle’s work. My story, The Weaver, follows a retired mill worker as she’s invited to take part in a satellite project at a fictional Rosyth Space Port.
‘You rarely pay attention to the science. In meetings you caress the sample fabric instead of listening, feeling the mesh undulate across the table. Your head is filled with thoughts of lace fit for the stars. Of a weaver tall and silent and proud of their work.’
